Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a method of extracting follicular units for hair transplant procedure. Hair is naturally present in a group of 1-4 and this group is termed as follicular units. In FUE hair transplant surgery, an instrument called as a ‘punch machine’ is used to make a small, circular cut in the skin around a follicular unit which is then extracted directly from the scalp.

One session of fue can extract around 800-1200 follicles in a span of 8-12 hrs. The donor wounds created by the punches completely heal over the course of seven to ten days.

This method of removal of follicular units one-by-one directly from the scalp, is what differentiates the FUE hair transplant from a traditional Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT). In the latter the donor hair is removed from the scalp in one thin, long strip and then subsequently dissected into individual follicular units using a stereo-microscope.

The technique of FUE was first described in the medical literature by Drs. Rassman and Bernstein in their 2002 publication “Follicular Unit Extraction: Minimally Invasive Surgery for Hair Transplantation.” A major breakthrough in the procedure was advanced by Dr. Jim Harris by adding an additional step of blunt dissection to the technique, as this substantially reduced transection (damage) to follicles..

Indications for FUE Hair Transplants

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, utilizes platelets from the paitent's own blood to rebuild a damaged tendon or cartilage. It has been successful in not only relieving the pain, but also in jumpstarting the healing process.

Although blood is mainly a liquid (called plasma), it also contains small solid components (red cells, white cells, and platelets.) The platelets are best known for their importance in clotting blood. However, platelets also contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which are very important in the healing of injuries.

PRP is plasma with many more platelets than what is typically found in blood. The concentration of platelets — and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors — can be 5 to 10 times greater (or richer) than usual.

Mesotherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic medicine treatment. Mesotherapy employs multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into subcutaneous fat.Mesotherapy is a baldness treatment alternative that allows both men and women with hair regrowth.

Techniques used in mesotherapy treatment for hair loss are derived from mesotherapy. You will hear about proprietary approaches such as Mesoplasty® or MesoHair, which have both shown positive results with hair re-growth in both men and women.

Using a specialized cocktail, your scalp is essentially given a vitamin boost which can improve the blood circulation in this area. Better circulation allows your hair follicles to be better nourished...all of which can improve hair re-growth.

With mesotherapy, treatment for hair loss will likely be done via injection gun as opposed to the mesotherapist injecting by hand. This helps to make mesotherapy treatment for hair loss faster as well as potentially less painful. You may need as many as five sessions of this mesotherapy treatment for hair loss over a period of four to six months before you see significant results.

Baldness is primarily classified into cicatricial and noncicatricial types.
The two are again divided into many subtypes. We use Folliscope to diagnose the type of hair loss. We treat it using

Skin pigmentation disorders affect the colour of your skin. The skin gets its colour from a pigment called melanin.
Many disorders cause patchy distribution of melanin thus giving you an uneven tone.

Fine lines, deep wrinkles, uneven skin tone, lack of firmness, lack of density and sagging contribute to ageing.
